Hint: Move Faster
You can make Kratos move faster by rolling forward (press the Right Analog Stick forward) and cancelling the end of the roll with a Hermes Rush shoulder charge (press R1 when you've leveled up your Blades of Chaos). Repeatedly roll and shoulder charge to move forward at a much faster rate than Kratos' normal running speed.

Hint: Free Experience Orbs
After defeating the Hydra and beating the first level, you'll appear inside a large ship with two topless girls nearby. Jump onto the bed and press CIRCLE to start a sex mini-game. If you complete the mini-game you'll be rewarded with red orbs.

Hint - XP Barn
When you first get Medusa's Gaze and are asked to kill all the minotaurs, refuse the tutorial and instead cast Poisiden's Rage over and over. Kratos will have infinite magic in this "training" room since the game expects you to learn the Medusa gaze attack. With the respawning enemies, magic, and Poseidon Rage, you can rack up huge comboes and gain enough XP to max out Kratos early.

Remember to stock 25 to 30 thousand more XP than you need at that time so you can max out your weapons, magics, and skills later on.

Supreme Commander Cheats (PC)

Cheats

Unverified.

Back up the file you are editing, or you may need to re-install that file from the game disc. Gone are the days of FAT32, so we can't make that FAT joke anymore.

Locate the game.pref file in the current user's directory (for personal machines, it is the administrator or whatever user name you log in as under Windows XP). For Windows XP, the directory is often ... \Local Settings\Application Data\Gas Powered Games\SupremeCommander\ ... .

Open the file using a text editor like Notepad (note you need to save the file as *.PREF not anything else) and ad the following string(s) above the string profile = {

debug = {
enable_debug_facilities = true}

And save the file. Boot the game and start a new character profile and start a new mission. This will not cascade to old or existing saves before the hack -- you also don't need to cheat until you want to anyway. The following codes may be toggled:

ALT + N -- Units invulnerable to weapon fire.
CTRL + ALT + B -- Sets Mass, Energy, Storage to 10K.
ALT + T -- Teleports selected unit.
CTRL + K -- Selected Unit is destroyed.
ALT + F2 -- Spawn unit (random?)
CTRL + N -- Rename selected unit.
CTRL + SHIFT + C -- Copies selected unit or structure.
CTRL + SHIFT + V -- Paste copied entity.
ALT + LEFT MOUSE CLICK -- Change to enemy perspective

The opposing A.I. will also have access to any cheats toggled on.

Half-Life 2 Cheats and Hints (PC)

Cheat Activation

Add the parameter -console to your hl2 executable. The best method is to create a new shortcut to the hl2.exe and change its command line by adding the cheat/console parameter and then saving the shortcut. This way, you can play Half-life 2 with or without cheats (you can rename your shortcut to reflect this).

For some versions of Half-Life 2, you may need to add a longer parameter string -applaunch -dev -tconsole instead of the previously mentioned parameter.

Cheat: Dev Cheats
Bring DOWN the console and enter “sv_cheats 1”.

    Cheat: Portal Gun Hack
This process modifies your game files, so make back-ups of the proper files and directories before attempting this hack.
    1. You need both Portal and Half-life 2 for starters. Install or re-install both games now.

    2. Back up your Portal directory. Unless you changed the install path, the directory is in ...\Steam\steamapps\(your_username)\portal. If you make a mistake during this hack, you may need to re-download Portal through Steam (or at worse, Half-life 2 through Steam).

    3. Download and install GCFScape if you do not have it already. This program allows you to access the cached game files for games using the Source engine.

    4. Head into the directory ...\Steam\steamapps\ for all the available GCF archives available. Open the file half-life 2 content.gcf via GCFScape. Click the hl2 folder on the left pane of the GCFScape Explorer window. Right mouse click maps and select the command Extract to place all the contents of the maps folder into the directory ...\Steam\steamapps\the_great_bundini\portal\portal. This merges Half-life 2 maps with the Portal map folder.

    5. Repeat the above step with the scenes folder via GCFScape.

    6. Boot up Steam to run Portal. Drop the developer console with ‘~’ (you may need to enable it under your keyboard options or enable it via the -console command switch on the executable's shortcut).

    7. On the developer console, type maps * to list all the available maps; this should inclde the Half-life 2 maps imported from the previous steps. Type map and then the name of that map (i.e., map d1_canals_01).

    8. Once the map is loaded and you can play, drop the console and enable the cheats for Portal by entering sv_cheats 1. Give yourself all weapons (including the Portal Gun) by entering impulse 101. You may need to input upgrade_portalgun to enable you to fire both portals.

    9. Enjoy the havoc. Note that this hack also works with Episode 1 and Episode 2. You will notice that while NPCs from Half-life cannot pass through portals, all other inert objects (including yourself) and weapons fire will pass through with no problems.

    Hint: Rocksploration
In the Chapter Anti-Citizen, Freman can reach the rooftop of the building blocked by some rocks on its stairs. After D.O.G. hops onto the dropship, crouch jump onto the sofa and Freman can jump past the rocks. Bring a box or similar object to act as a platform. It is barely possible to reach the roof of the building -- there's nothing there, but it's a little hidden area.

+3: Kill an enemy or player from behind.

    # Easy A.C.E.S. points

Start a Terrorist Hunt game with "Lone Wolf" off. Set the difficulty to Realistic, and use the Killhouse map. Set the amount of enemies to low-medium, then start the game. Make sure to bring C4 for the Assault points. At the start of the map, run up the stairs, and place your teammates at the top of the first flight of stairs. Immediately use the right side of the wall as cover. You should be able to see a rappel rope on the left side of the wall. Next, do one of the following things to get A.C.E.S. points in the indicated category:

    Assault

While still in cover, throw a C4 out so it lands at the bottom of the rope. Wait until someone starts to climb down, and halfway down, detonate the charge. This will get you +3 Assault points for each kill. Once you run out of C4, use explosives.

    CQB

Just blindfire the enemies rappelling down the rope. Each kill in blindfire gets you +3 CQB points. Alternatively, wait until the enemies reach the bottom of the stairs and start to move towards you. After they are relatively close, pop out from the cover and kill them. This will get you +3 CQB points.

    Marksman

Simply shoot the enemies as they are climbing down. A light machine gun is recommended as they rappel down quite often. Each kill while they are still on the rope gets you +3 Marksman points.

    -From: venom0013

Go to Act 5, Scene 1 in Story mode on the Normal or Realistic difficulty. Kill all the enemies on the roof, and go into the building. When you enter the building, you will reach a checkpoint. There will be a staircase in front of you. When you go down the staircase, there will be a door with three terrorists talking inside. Next, do one of the following things to get A.C.E.S. points in the indicated category:

    Assault

Open the door, toss in a C4, and detonate it for +9 Assault points. Then, reload from the checkpoint and repeat as many times as desired.

    CQB

Use a SMG with a good sized clip (like the P90 or Type 05). Enter the room, run forward a few steps, and shoot all three terrorists for +9 CQB points. If you have trouble killing all of them, shoot the guy on the right first, and then the two facing each other (the guy on the right is the one who usually kills you). Then, reload from the checkpoint and repeat as many times as desired.

In the "Ambush" mission, get to the end where you have to order one of your teammates to defuse the bomb. Order him to do that and stand beside him. He should complain about you standing next to him. Then, have your other teammate regroup, then tell him to throw a grenade at the door in front of the bomb. You should get two kills. Look above you. There should be a person about to go on the turret. If you kill him, he keeps respawing. This is an easy way to get Assault points or any other desired A.C.E.S. points. Note: You will get more A.C.E.S. points on the Realistic difficulty.

In the "Negotiations" mission, once you reach the part where you have to defuse the bomb on the door, have your team hold at the base of the stairs. Then, advance up the stairs, and stand a few feet back from the double doors. Aim at the bottom of the doors, and throw a grenade. Back away from the grenade fast so you do not die. When the grenade goes off, a delayed rumble will occur, and you will get A.C.E.S. points. You will get more A.C.E.S. points on the Realistic difficulty. You will fail the mission because it states that you "Disobeyed a Direct Order", but do not worry -- you will not lose any experience and can just reload the checkpoint at the bottom of the stairs again. Repeat this as many times as desired.
    # Getting into train in Killhouse map

There is a broken down train at the southern end of the map. Take cover behind the barrels inside. Release LT to move off of the barrels while moving forward. Click the Left Analog-stick to stand up, and keep moving forward until you are on the barrel. Your head should be outside of the train. You can snipe people on the stairs or coming down the fastrope.

    Bioshock Cheats and Hints (PC)

    BioShock Cheat: Secret Codes

This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "defuser.ini" file in the game directory. Set a key binding to the following codes (for example, "F10=fly"). Then, press the corresponding key during game play to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: Any active codes are disabled when a new area loads or intermission sequence plays. (mode on the left, code to type in on the right)

    • Disable Clipping - ghost
    • Disable "fly" and "ghost" codes - walk
    • Flight Mode - fly
    • God Mode - god
    • Teleport To Pointer - teleport

    BioShock Cheat: Free Health Packs

While you can buy health packs at health stations for $10, you can get them for free by simply smashing the machines with your wrench. After a few hits, between 1-3 health packs should lie on the floor for you to grab, for free.

BioShock Unlockable: Good Ending / Bad Ending
There are two possible endings for BioShock that depend on how you treated little sisters throughout the game. If you choose to "harvest" more than one little sister, you will get the bad BioShock ending. If, however, you "harvest" no more than one little sister but "rescue" the others, you will get the good BioShock ending.

    BioShock Hint: Big Daddy Battle

In order to do this, you need the Hypnotize Big Daddy Plasmid and the Natural Camouflage Tonic. All you have to do is use the Hypnotize Big Daddy Plasmid on a Big Daddy so that he thinks you're a Little Sister and protects you. Now here's the fun part - simply find and attack another Big Daddy and your Big Daddy will attack it to protect you.

    BioShock Hint: Big Daddy Kills

When fighting a Big Daddy, use armor-piercing rounds, as they will deal considerable damage compared to regular rounds.

    BioShock Hint: Sander Cohen's Death

Sander Cohen will ask you to take four pictures for him to complete his masterpiece. After you do that, you can kill him at your convenience.

    BioShock Hint: Security Drone Manipulation

Use a blast of the Electric Shock Plasmid to temporarily disable security drones before you do anything else in a room. Then, run up to them within five seconds and hack them! You can hack while the game is on virtual "pause." You'll have security drones on your side for the rest of the time you are in a fight after doing this.

BioShock Hint: Big Daddy Kills II

Once you get the Grenade Launcher and the Proximity Mines, this technique can be employed. Find a red fuel tank (all over the place), and cover it with about 6 Proximity Mines or so. Next, use Telekinesis to lift the massive explosive device and hurl it at a Big Daddy. This deals massive damage, leaving you with minimal effort to finish the job. Just be careful not to have the bomb blow up before you get there. (The launcher upgrade that deals no damage to you is a great thing to have just in case.)

    BioShock Hint: Telekinesis Drop

While using the Telekinesis Plasmid, you can drop the item you are holding instead of throwing it across the room. To do this you must have an item currently being held. Pick up any item, with the Telekinesis Plasmid selected. Using the LT button, keep holding the item, and don’t let go of the LT button.

When you’re ready to drop the item, press the RB button to open your weapons menu, and in the transition of the weapons menu opening, let go of the LT button. Choose your weapon and the item will drop safely to your feet. If done correctly, the item falls at your feet, instead of being thrown, which makes the item easier to find when you need it.

Added by SyrionSyronimus: A simpler way to drop the item you're holding is to just hit 'X'. So, with the Telekinesis Plasmid armed, hold LT to TK something to you. While it's 'in your face', press X to drop it on the ground. No need to switch to weapons.

    BioShock Hint: Quick Reloads

The following works with both the Crossbow and the Grenade Launcher. While shooting either, you can rapidly reload by pressing the left trigger, then quickly after pressing the right trigger. This will allow you to start shooting without having to wait longer (several seconds) for your weapon to reload. This is especially useful against powerful enemies like Big Daddies.

BioShock Hint: Big Daddy Kills III

Here's another technique to take out Big Daddies. Use the Electric Buck on your Shotgun, alternating between the buck and using the Electro Bolt Plasmid every few seconds (which will shock and freeze him in addition to dealing damage). This technique is especially useful on Bouncer class Big Daddies.

BioShock Hint: Big Daddy Kills V

If you have Trap Bolts for your Crossbow, you can execute this technique to kill Big Daddies easily. Give yourself about 20 feet (in-game, of course) and shoot your Trap Bolts so they hang between you and the location of the Big Daddy you want to kill. Then shoot a round with another weapon at the Big Daddy to anger it so it comes towards you. It will stumble across the Trap Bolts you've shot and die, since it only takes two of them to take one down.

BioShock Hint: Big Daddy Kills IV

Once you've obtained the Dart Gun, you can try this technique. All that's required is Electrical Trap Darts (4-6 per Big Daddy). Take your 4-6 Trap Darts and line them down a hall or near where you can see a Big Daddy, making sure the path he'll take towards you is amply covered. Once that's done, shoot at the Big Daddy to get his attention and keep him running towards you. He'll run into each dart and kill himself.

BioShock Hint: Big Daddy Kills VI

Here's another easy method to kill Big Daddies easily. Try using Electric Gel in the Chemical Thrower. It takes about 3/4 of a tank, but the Big Daddy won't be able to move as you shoot and kill him.

    BioShock Hint: Easy Splicer Kills

For easy Splicer kills, simply use Telekinesis on one to hurl its body at others in the vicinity. This method usually results in a one-hit kill and is especially useful against higher-level Splicers.

    BioShock Hint: General Tips
    • The first Plasmid, and the first weapon you find are the best in the game.
    • Zap em and whack em, that's all you need to know.
    • Research everything, it's well worth it. The Houdini Splicers are well worth your time since you'll get the most useful Tonic in the game.
    • Get over being scared, the enemies aren't that bad.
    • Explore every room in every area and you'll get more out of the game.

BioShock Hint: Power to the People Station Locations

Listed below are all twelve Power to the People stations, which can be used to garner weapon upgrades.

    • Apollo Square - Hestia (4th Floor)
    • Arcadia - Tree Farm
    • Farmer's Market - Winery Cellar (Bottom Floor)

    • Fort Frolic - Le Marquis D'Epoque

Overlord Cheats and Hints (XBOX 360, PC)

    Cheat: Forge Glitch

To upgrade your equipment without sacrificing any minions, do the following. As you are upgrading or forging any given equipment, wait until the camera goes above the upgrade area. Before the minions actually come out, press start and exit the game. Then, reload your game. You’ll find that no minions have been sacrificed but the game has still upgraded your gear! (unverified)

    Submitted by Lyonshammer

    Hint - Poor Overlord's Power-up
If you died recently and your minions are weakened, go to either Halfling Homes or the village of Spree, and break all the objects for new weapons and armor. This is no substitute for actually upgrading your minions, but it works at the start of the game!
    Submitted by ktki6g680

    Hint - Dungeon Force
When lifeforce is harder to come by with the advance smelters, visit the tower dungeon and use the staged fights to earn lifeforce. A mix of minions will let you set ambushes and revive any losses. The only downside are that your have no spells to use.

Hint - Master and Minion Multitude Achievements
The best way to unlock the Minion Multitude Achievement is to visit the Dungeon with an ultimately imbued Arcanium Sword and Armor.

For the weapon, don't balance out your minion sacrifices so that you get a little bit of everything and instead focus on increasing the damage (brown minions) and just a little of the green minions to do massive damage with the power blow.

For the armor, don't balance out your minion sacrifices so that you get a little bit of everything and instead focus on increasing the defence (brown minions) and just a little of the green minions to regenerate life slowly (about 5 to 10%).

Don't take any minions with you and when you go into the dungeon and approach each group of enemies slowly so that you face only a few at a time. This way if your health gets low you can run away for a bit and regenerate.

Keep selecting a neutral animal (Kakaru, Rhyadon, Scantid, Ursadon, Bangalass, Or Ragnasaur) repeatedly until a nuke falls on them. They should make up to fifteen sounds before they die.

Getting 400 Max. Units submitted by T.J.
First get 200 marines to go attack the enemies' base. NOTE: must get exactly 200 Marines. Destroy ONLY one of the enemies' pylons - overlord or supply depot. Then let the enemy kill and destroy all the marines. Do not let them (the marines) destroy anything else because it will mess up the code. Let them stand there and allow the computer opponent to devour them. Then go back and you can get 400 max.

    Travian Cheats (Internet)

    What is Travian?

As the main page says, Travian is a browser game with a world full of thousands of users who all begin as the leaders of small villages. I believe it is a bit more than that. It is a competitive game where you build a mighty empire and destroy all who stand in your way! . . . . perhaps that is not the best description, but it fits it well enough. The point of this game is to build up your puny little village into something less puny and little, while managing to not be raided of all of your resources.

Here is some "cheats" and general hints for the internet-based game, Travian.

    -A Great Tactic Using Crannies

*It is possible for Crannies to achieve a max level of 10. They can save 1000 resources (Level 10 = 2000 resources for Gauls).

*Build up your warehouse, granary until they both save 5000 of your resources.
Meanwhile, you your production stays high (around 250 or 300 per hour).
Build 3 crannies and upgrade them to level 10 (when Teutons attack you they are able to steal 33% of your resources!).

*Get your main building up to level 10.
    *Build a rally point.
*Build Barracks and upgrade them to level 5.
*Upgrade your warehouse and your granary until they become eligible to save 10,000 resources.
*Keep upgrading your fields until you are producing 500 or 600 per hour (make sure your crop resource stays high).

Later, as you build an army, you may then break down the crannies whilst your army defends.

Cheat: Four Players On One Team

You can get four players on a team as well, not just three. To do this, begin by following the already-listed technique to get three players on a team. Then, during gameplay with all four controllers on, press start on controller three to enter the menu. Turn controllers one and two off. With the third controller, then head to the settings and to controller setup. Slide the fourth controller to the same side as the third. Then go back to the start menu, and just before resuming gameplay, turn controllers one and two back on. Changes will come into effect after the next play.

    Unlockable: Hall of Fame Teams

In order to unlock the AFC/NFC Hall of Fame teams (like the Glaciers, Dummies, et cetera), you must complete the in-game Fantasy Challenge. To unlock these teams so you can play as them, you must beat them in Supreme League mode; otherwise, you will only get to play them, not as them.

    Submitted by Matt Middleton

Cheat: Three Players On One Team

In order to get three controllers aligned to the same team, do the following. Keep in mind that the 2nd player has to be using a wireless controller.

With all three controllers on, choose the same side with controllers one and two. During gameplay, press start on controller one and enter the menu. Turn the second controller off. Then, with the first controller, head to settings and controller setup. Slide the third controller to the same side. Go back to the start menu, and just before resuming gameplay, turn controller two back on (there should be a rumble on the second controller). Changes will come into effect after the first play. Hint: Performance Institute Exploit

To increase your chosen character's statistics faster, hence making him a superstar more rapidly, try the following exploit. On gameday (Sunday), enter the Performance Institute and complete the exercise. After exiting, head over to your team's schedule and enter. Then, exit back out to the city map, and the Performance Institute exercise will appear again for you to use. You can do this over and over again if you want.

    Hint: Draft Pick Franchise Building

Here's a great technique if you're looking to build a dynasty longterm over many seasons. It works best with "great" teams (like the Patriots, Colts and Chargers) and "good" teams (like the Jaguars, Broncos, and Cowboys). Theoretically, though, it can work with any team.

After finishing up your pre-season games, don't advance to the regular season. Instead, head to the trading block. Offer up your first round pick and ask for a first, second and fourth round pick in return. If your team is decent enough you will receive offers from all of the bottom teams (like Buffalo, Houston, Detroit, or whoever happens to be bad that season).

So, with the bad team's first, second and fourth picks (for instance), you can offer your own second, third and fourth picks. Ask for a first, third and fourth pick in return. You have to be flexible though, because you won't always be able to get what you want in return.

If the above works, however, you'll have two first round picks, a second round pick, a third round pick, and two fourth round picks (or something similar). This is absolutely amazing when you are building a franchise. Better yet, you can do this every year, as your franchise gets stronger and stronger with young, talented players.

    Final Fantasy XII Cheats, Hints(PS2)

    Unlock Trophy Games

In the Phon Coast there are three "shady bangaas". Once you've found them go up to the bangaa up top behind the "shady bangaas". He'll tell you to got hunt a trophy game, I forget his name, but the bangaa will tell you. He'll also tell you how to flush it out of hiding. Follow his instructions, and you'll be fighting that rare game in no time.

Dispel the game first before charging in to kill him. Buff up your main attacker with Haste, Berserk, and Bravery and leave him alone. when he gets low on health, use a Curaga spell on him. With this tactic, the rare game will fall easily.

After defeating the game, you'll receive a key item called a "Shelled Trophy". Bring that to the bangaa. CONGRATULATIONS! you've now unlocked all trophy hunt. (it's Under Rare Game in the bestiary).

    Hint: Spirit Salamander
You can find him in the Northern section, Central Junction section, or Ogir-Yensa Sandsea, during sunny weather.

    Hint: Survive in the Beginning
After you complete you first hunting mission for the Renegade Tomato, don't bother go after that dinosaur you see in the distance. He's not bothering you, and he's stronger than you. He'll kill you quickly. Just go back to the city.

    Hint: Zodiac Spear Insurance
If you plan on getting your hand on this, most powerful weapon in the game, DO NOT open the barrel that sit directly across from Dalan's door. Apparently it's linked to four other chests in the game that must remain closed until you have the opportunity to acquire it in Nabudis.

    Hint: Gambit Advice
When it's time to equip those gambits, it's best to assign a "healing ally" gambit as your first priority. You may think getting the hits in first will get rid of enemies quicker, but you'll never make it if their health get too low, too fast.

    Hint - Respawning Barrels
Find any item barrels around the Save Crystal, open the barrel to get the item, save your game now, then quit the game and load it back, go to the same place will see the barrel is still there, you can get another random item.

    Hint - Infinite Chains
It is very simple, in such places as the Yensen Desert or the airship where you rescue the princess Ashe, you can just take your time in the maze-like passageways and wander around without leaving the area and the same type of monsters will spawn, heal after every battle and continue until you have chains going up to 300.

When you get back to town you will hae enough items to become very rich as well as attain levels, it is a good idea that wherever you find these points you use them to the fullest potential.

    Hint - Yagyu Darkblade
While in the Lhusu Mines, far into the game, or at the Gilgamesh Mark Hunt, go to the bridge that is pointing South-West (or South-East). It's a diagonal. Anyway, enter and re-enter in a few times until you see a black Bomb (Bullitt) appear. Kill it, and you'll have a chance of getting the Yagyu Darkblade (called the Yagyuu's Onyx in the Japanese version).

You cannot go here until the get the Area 11 key, which is conveniently located in the Phon Coast and the Hunter's Camp, somewhere around one of inhabitants (look for the sparkiling object on the ground). Note: you must have done the Antlion mob first.

    Hint - Gambit Hint
I might have overdone this, but it sure works with minimal time and effort. First equip everyone with spears, barbuts, iron armor and argyle armlets. This will give you maximum power/speed ratio. If you do not have the money nor LP to do this, go just west of the Sandsea Moogle in the the Sanscale Bank and you will find enemies called Alraune. Kill them all, go back to to the moogle and 1 screen east.

This makes the monsters respawn and takes a little time, go back and kill them again. Steal succullent fruits and maces from them (set gambit) and they also drop succulent fruits very often. The maces sell at 900 gold but these fruits sell at 363 each and you can quickly build up 99 of of the fruits since you ccan respawn them quickly. If you want to keep the combo up, when you have 99 succulent fruits, flee all the way back to the merchant without touching a save crystal, sell them all for 35937 gold, flee all the way back to the Alraunes and repeat the process as needed.

Set all gambits to attack nearest and heal manually. Start with the people that do not have quickenings in case they get ejected from battle (with a little luck it will be Vossler) And use all quickenings at the end if needed. For higher level characters, just attack and you should even have time to steal. All my guys were level 17 – 20 and I had a little difficulty until Vossler was ejected instead of one of my party members, then it was easy.

Hint - Paramina Rift Experience Exploit
In the Paramina Rift there is a great place go get a great deal of EXP quickly and easily. Go to the Spine of the Icewyrm (check your map) and there are two Twintanias and about three Garuda-Egis. The Twintanias alone drop between 600 to 750 EXP a piece.

When finished (or if you get low on health) retreat to the Path of the First Fall and use the save crystal. Save an reload the game so the the beasts respawn. This is a great way to grind out some levels before going into the Stilshrine of Miriam.

Hint - Airship Sidequest For Ring of Renewal
If you talk with the Chief Steward on your first airship flight you get the option to participate in a sidequest.
You get the item "Ann's Letter" and have to deliver it to her six sisters who are chief stewards on other airships throughout Ivalice.

You cannot finish this side quest until you can access the port of Balfonheim's Aerodome. If you complete the quest, you get the ring of renewal which gives you 6 defense, 5 magic resistance, and regeneration.

    Hint - Yiazmat Battle
    1. Armor of choice high defense and magic defense such as cirlet , robe of lords , grand armor , grand helm and etc.

    2. Weapon - best choice dark element weapon such as Yagyu Dark blade and other high attack power dark element.

    3. Techniques - use Expose to lower Yiazmat defense.

    4. Characters with high strength and speed. Vaan, Basch, Balthier, Fran are strength. Vaan, Penelo, Fran, Ashe are speedy.

    5. Accessories - power armlet strength +2 anti stop, - genji armlet enable mutiple hits, - cat earhood increase speed and vitalty.

When Yiazmat HP is halved his defense will increase, a 9999 damage will reduce to 6999, HP is 1/4 his level would be double, HP is 1/8 his attack would be double and increase of mutiple hits of 12, cast death strike twice in a row.

    Hint - Tortoise XP Farming
At level 20 you can do the quest Withered tree bridge in Giza Plains. There are six withered trees located around the map, after all six are chopped down you can gain access to the level 37 silicon tortoise.

The way to get tons of experience points per fight is to get to the location via party. Make sure all members have job trait charge magic, reflect and gravity.

When you zone into area where the tortoise are located go solo with one character, cast refect on yourself and start fight off with steal, once you steal start running in a circle around the tortoise in safe distance as not to get hit by the mob or its lights out.

It will start to cast AGA spells on you but with reflect on they will bounce of yourself and hit the tortoise instead. While circling around the tortoise cast gravity over and over. It will do around 3000 damage to the tortoise and eventually will take the mob down for around 3,500 exp per kill. There are four tortoise on the island so the experience will add up quickly.

Remember to do it one member at a time and to have those spells or else this exploit won't work. I got 7 levels per character in no time plus good loot from the steal/drop items, plus its a lot of fun as opposed to the same old experience points game play. The only downfall is the lack of license points as opposed to regular combat. You will receive around 3 per kill. I made up for it by returning to the Lhusu mines and kill there for around 3 hours or so for rediculous license/money items. Well I hope this helps you all and good luck.

    Hint - Post-Raithwall Gil Farming
After the The Tomb of Raithwall, you may find yourself in a bit of gil trouble setting up your characters. Get Thief's Cuffs and Dragoon's Monograph. Golden Amulets for the characters not in play is a good investment as well.

Head to Dalmasca Westerland and go to the section called The Western Divide and go into the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. Stay in the section "Platform East Tanks" because your targets are Alraune's. With the Thiefs Cuffs you're able to steal Succulent Fruits (300g) and Maces (900g). The Monograph in place will make Alraunes drop up to 1-3 Succulent Fruits!

The important thing to remember is you must be able to chain Alraunes to get better drops! The best way to do this is to dive into the next section and grab the 2 Alraunes on the first platform, then go down the stairs and up the left platform for another 2. Last 2-3 in this area is tricky, head north to the M-pathed platform for 2-3 more Alraunes, just make sure not to kill any other creature that may break the chain. By the time you're finishing up these 6 you can go back to "Platform East Tanks" and clear the respawned mobs. Simply head back to the crystal and out the next screen to respawn everything and do it again!

Doing this I was able to make 100,000 gil an hour. Happy hunting!

    Hint - Airship Letter Delivery
This isn't in any particular order except your first airship ride which is in fact Rabanastre to Nalbina. You will recieve the letter after talking to the chief steward on your first airship ride. Here is a list of connecting flights:
    • Rabanastre to Nalbina
    • Rabanastre to Archades
    • Rabanastre to Bhujerba
    • Bhujerba to Balfonheim
    • Balfonheim to Nalbina

    Hint - More Zodiac Spears
Originally, you are only supposed to get one Zodiac Spear. However, after you get the one in the Necrohol of Nabudis and obtain at least 10 espers (I had 12), more become available in the Henne Mines.

First, talk to Geomancer Yugelu at Jahara, Lull of the Land AFTER getting at least 10 espers. He will unlock the path to the ultimate esper, Zodiark. To find this path, enter the Ore Sepperation (where you fought the Tiamat) and continue north to a gate that was previously locked. Make sure you save your game in the Staging Shaft, because there are no more save crystals if you go forward.

Make sure you are a high level, because the fiends are level 60+ and the weakest one (Abysteel) has about 20000 hp. But don't give up hope! Continue forward to the SECOND to last room, and turn right.follow this path down the stairs and begin going up the next path, but stop about halfway through.

The games minimap dosen't show it, but there is a small alcove and inside is a chest. Make sure you have the diamond armlet equipped, and open the chest. You have a 90% chance of getting an elixer and a 10% chance of getting the Zodiac spear. The chest itself appears 10% of the time, so it will take a while, but imagine an army of Zodiac Spears with hate bravery, and berserk. Continue on the twisted paths to find the ultimate esper Zodiark (Keeper of Precepts).

    Hint: Saving LP

A smart way to save LP (License Points) in the game while exploring the entirety of the licensing map is to use one character to unlock as many boxes as possible. Since the maps are identical for all characters, you can then figure out how you want to use your remaining characters’ LP without having to blindly explore each board. By exploiting one character’s LP, you can save the rest of your party from needlessly spending theirs on skills, et cetera, that aren’t necessarily needed by them.

    Hint: Hidden Merchant

To find a hidden merchant in the Nechrohol of Nabudis, do the following. Head to the northwestern-most corner of the Hall of Effulgent Light. The room on the map will have a dead end, but it’s not. In the secret room adjacent, you can fight a powerful enemy (you should be at least level 40 to attempt this). The southeast corner of this room is where the real point of interest is, however. A merchant will be there that can sell you rare items.

    Hint: Defeat Braegh Easily

If you’re having trouble defeating Braegh in the "Rodeo to the Death" hunt, all you have to do is cast Reflect on the party. Since Braegh casts Invert on your party as soon as you engage him in battle, the spell will be reflected on him, leaving him with roughly 10% of his full health.

    Hint: Endless Chain of Zombies

In the Stilshrine of Miriam, just past the entrance, there is a pedestal called the Pedestal of Dawn. If you touch the pedestal without the Dawn Shard equipped, a trio of Zombies will attack you (and will continue to attack you if you touch it again, as many times as you want). This is a great place to accumulate experience, LP, and some loot (although the latter isn't that impressive).

    Hint: Acquiring Zeromus

Head to the Paramina Rift Palace after it has been destroyed and talk to the people within. One of them will give you the Stone of the Condemner. Then, head to the Still Shrine of Miriam and use the Teleport Pad when it asks you to use your newly-acquired stone. This will teleport you to a room where Zeromus is. Fight him, and the Zeromus Esper is yours.

    Hint: Early Game Leveling

To level up early in the game when your characters are still relatively weak, head to a place like the Dalmasca Westersand or the Giza Plains. In those locales, you can fight enemies like Dive Talons or Werewolves. Try luring them to the dotted blue lines, fighting the foes in those vicinities so that when your characters become weak you can cross the line, heal up, and go back to fight once more. The experience delivered with this tactic early in the game will raise your levels rather rapidly (only 2-3 fights per level). The ideal place to attempt this is to head to the Giza Plains, and go to the blue save crystal there. Hang around it, using it to heal as needed.

    Submitted by mick@ffXII
    Hint: Hell Wyrm

If you want to fight the most difficult enemy in the game, make sure your active party is at least at level 70 or higher, with Bubble Belts equipped to double your HP. This enemy, the Hell Wyrm, is located in the Sochen Cave Palace in a secret room.

To find it, you have to first speak to one of the toad creatures on the summit of Mt. Bur-Ominsace, who will talk of a Wyrm Philosopher. From there, head to Balfonhelm and speak to the man in the bar who will also talk about the philosopher. Next, head to Cerobi Steppe, and speak to the Moogles working on the windmill, who will reveal the philosopher. The philosopher will, in turn, hand over a key.

With the key in hand, head to Sochen Cave Palace, to the Destiny's March section of the map. Do the puzzle there (where you have to run around a track in a certain order, much like Final Fantasy VI's light puzzles). If you do it right, a prompt will tell you a door has opened. Head to the Ascetics Door on the west side of the map, which was the door that was opened. Head down the path and use the key on the next door. Inside is the Hell Wyrm, the game's most difficult enemy.

    Hint: Easy Revives

If you want an easy way to revive fallen characters, try the following. Head to Balfonheim Port later in the game, when a gambit called Ally: Status=KO can be purchased. This can be used in conjunction with Phoenix Downs or the Raise spells to raise dead characters automatically. However, if you use the gambit called Ally: HP <>that with a Phoenix Down or the Raise spell, your allies will revive one another before they even disappear after being KOed.

    Hint - Zodiac Killer
There are four areas of treasure chests that are connected to the Zodiac Spear, and if any of them are opened, the spear will not appear.

    (1) In the "low town" directly in front of old Dalan's place.

    (2) The treasure coffers in the cellars' southeast corner.

    (3) The treasure coffers in the Confiscatory. This is after you recover your lost equipment in the Nalbina dungeons.

    (4) There is a huge stash of sixteen treasure chests at the eastern point of Vaddu Strand (Phon Coast Region). If you have opened any of the previous chests, you only receive Gil. But the Zodiac Spear bestows 150 attack and 8 evasion.

    Unlockable Legendary Pokemon Heatran
This legendary can be male or female but cannot breed. Get your national dex and go to the island in the north and east. When you get to Stark Mountain, you must team up with someone to go through the place. The trainer will take the item and depart. Head back to the Survival Area, and your "partner" will be inside a house. Talk to her and she'll leave.

You have only one chance to capture Heatran, so save the game first. Return to the mountain, and Heatran will be waiting. The pokemon is at level 70. Heatran can learn the following moves:
  • Level 1 - Ancientpower
  • Level 9 - Leer
  • Level 17 - Fire Fang
  • Level 25 - Metal Sound
  • Level 33 - Crunch
  • Level 41 - Scary Face
  • Level 49 - Lava Plume
  • Level 57 - Fire Spin
  • Level 65 - Iron Head
  • Level 73 - Earth Power
  • Level 81 - Heat Wave
  • Level 88 - Stone Edge
  • Level 96 - Magma Storm

    Unlock Manaphy (Pokemon Ranger)
Very many pokemon fans have wanted a chance to capture one of the rarest pokemon in sinnoh MANAPHY, but due to the fact that pokemon diamond and pearl do not have any availible manaphy in the ENTIRE GAME. So the easiest way for you to get a manaphy is for you to get the game Called POKEMON RANGER. This game has a mission that is available for you to play after you do a few things.

    (1) Beat the Pokemon Ranger game.

    (2) On the ranger net screen hold the buttons R, X, and the D-PAD LEFT (if you beat the game you will know what the ranger net is).

    (3) When the screen says enter password, input P8M2-9D6F-43H7 (Cap-sense is on).

    (4) Then at the special missions screen you will see a mission called RESCUE THE EGG. Tap on it then do the mission and get the egg, this will not be easy and will take a lot of time and effort but it all pays off at the end.

    (5) Borrow (or buy) a second Nintendo DS and the copy of Pokemon Diamond or Pearl you want the Manaphy on. The second DS should have Pokemon Ranger inserted. Go to the Ranger net with the Ranger DS and tap on CHECK THE EGG and then tap SEND MESSAGE. If your Diamond/Pearl DS is close enough to receive the message, you will get the Manaphy egg traded to you.

    Addendum:
    1. Turn on your other DS with the D/P cart.
2 Select the option to transfer Manaphy.
    3. Do the wireless ok's and what not.
4 Go to the nearest mart with 5 pokemon or less to pick up your egg.

    Unlockable: Lucario Egg
After beating the fifth gym leader, you can SURF to the city that is next to Jubilife City X3. Be sure to have an empty slot in your Pokemon party. When you arrive, go across the bridge and down to the boats to sail to Iron Mountain.

There is a guy named Riley at the mountain that wants to cross the mountain with you. Take him along and fight through the mountain until you reach Galactic Grunts 1 and 2. Riley has a L34 Lucario. The grunts have a Glameow and Goldbat. Provided you win, Riley will give you an egg that hatches into an L1 Roilu after you travel 6500 steps (or so).

You can clear the step counter application for the Poketech and use that to count your steps. Roilu is the pre-evolved form of Lucario and when it loves you in the day time it will evolve. Feed Roilu its favorite flavor (Poffin) or train it to L30. If you have the friend application, check that to see if Roilu likes you or not.

    Unlockable Pokemon - Giratina
Giratina is a powerful DRAGON/GHOST type that can be found deep in Turnback Cave, a place that is said to overlap a different, darker dimension...Anyway, Giratina can only be found and fought once in the game. Be sure to save. Also, Giratina can only be found after obtaining the National Dex and beating the Elite Four. Be sure that is done. Turnback Cave is found in a previously secluded place called Sendback Springs.
    1. Make sure you have Rock Climb, and preferably Defog, because Turnback Cave is very foggy.

    2. Bring many Dusk Balls, Ultra Balls, or a Master Ball if you were saving it to get a very strong pokemon. Also, if you don't want to fight lvl. 50 - 67 pokemon, grab some repels.

    3. Fly to Veilstone City, if you aren't already there, then travel down the fence-maze area until you see a long, empty path stretching out to the right.

    4. Go and travel that path until you come to a rocky wall by two trees standing together.

    5. Use Rock Climb, and after the HM is done, you'll be at a large, clear lake, very much like Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit's lakes. Go to the very farthest north by the lake. There will be another rocky wall at the edge of the lake.

    6. Use Rock Climb again, and when the HM is done, you'll be standing next to a cave entrance. Go inside.

    7. Congratulations, you have now entered Turnback Cave. Now for the trickiest part. There will be a rock wall ahead of you. Read the inscription.

    8. There apparently no set ways to get to Giratina, but it is only accessible by passing three pillars before you pass 30 rooms. Once you pass the 3rd pillar, and room you enter from here on in will be Giratina's. Once you save before you face him, take notice of these things.

    Giratina's moveset is:
    Heal Block
    Shadow Force
    Earth Power
    Slash

Giratina is level 70, so have a strong pokemon in your roster. After you catch it, which will most likely be a grueling experience, you can leave the cave. (not that you couldn't before). If you want, you can train on some powerful pokemon, (wild lvl. range gets boosted by ten after each pillar is passed) collect a rare item, an infinite amount of items will appear in Giratina's place after you either have caught it, or fainted it (rare bones, stardust) or you can take time to read this slightly ominous messsage engraves on the rock behind where Giratina used to stand.

    Hint - Pokemon Mansion
In Route 212, there is a Mansion where a few people live. Out back there is a patch of grass which is predominantly inhabited by Roselia, Mukubird, Pichu, Pikachu and Korotokku. However if you talk to the owner in the room to the right, you can activate something else.

Every day if you talk to him, he'll walk out. Go back in and he'll be there and tell you of a Pokémon that is inhabiting the place today. Sometimes its a Rare Shinou Dex Pokémon, others its a Non-Shinou Dex Pokémon so be alert. They are however there all day so you can go back. Their level averages at Lv. 16 to Lv. 19 so bring a Pokémon of that level. You have up to two of these Pokémon at once, they have a low encounter rate in the Mansion and the two Pokémon are the one allocated Today and Yesterday.

    Hint - Cresselia
First, go to Canalave City (Cresselia is in both Diamond and pearl versions). Look for the boy in Sailor Eldritch's house. Talk to the boy in bed and he will be saying something in his sleep, something about Darkrai.

Talk to the mother next to the boy in bed. Next go outside of the house and talk to the sailor next to the ship that takes you to Iron Island. He will say something about a Crecent Wing. Then he takes you to an island. On the island, there should be a clearing, go into it. Then you should see a pink-yellow pokemon.

Talk to it, and it will appear on your screen and will be added to your pokedex. then it will disappear. Its kindda like catching Mesprit.

If you did not get the pokemon leauge or get all the pokemon in the Shinoh Pokedex, you cannot catch Cresselia. Now if you did not get the pokefinder application, it will be much more difficult to catch Cresselia.

This is how you get the app, you have to go to the Poketech company in Jublife City, talk to theman next to the desk on the FIRST FLOOR, He gives you like 6 or 7 apps, the pokefinder app is the second or third one he gives you, YOU CAN GET THEM ALL IN THE SAME DAY! Now, good luck catching Cresselia, oh and one more thing, i think altering between route 205 and the Valley Windworks isthe best way to use. And you should stock up on MANY quickballs. Happy hunting!

    Mystery Gift
This is how to get a mystery gift:
    1. Go to the Jubilife TV station in Jubilife City.
    2. Go to the 3rd floor.
    3. Talk to the man in the lower room (he’s on the left).
    4. The first two words you tell him are ''everyone'' and ''happy''.
    5. the second two words are ''wi-Fi'' and ''Connection''.
    6. This will then unlock the Mystery Gift feature on the main menu.

When you go into it you can recieve your gift 3 ways:
  • Friend
  • Wireless
  • Wi-fi (kinda) -- while you won't get a gift from this cheat, just get the option to receive it, but when pokemon announces when the mystery event will be, go receive wifi and if you are lucky, you might receive a mystery gift/ legendary pokemon/ wicked sweet area/ ticket/ member pass.

    Easter Egg - Medal Duster
Go to your Trainer Card (Right under BAG in the in-game Menu). Go tap the little square under the section "GYM LEADERS." You then will see all your medals. The more close to a dark bluish color, the more dusty they are. The more close to a white color, the more clean they are. To dust them off, simply rub the medal with your stylus for a while. It will gradually go from Dark Blue to White to Sparkling.

    Hint - Mining Clue
When you get the explorer kit from the old man in Eterna city (the house beside the pokemon center) use it and go underground. On your upper DS screen there are yellow glowing dots flashing on and off. Go up to one on the upper screen and look at the bottom screen. Click on your bottom screen to search for the glowing dot. When you find a glowing dot (only in walls) go up to it and click A. Then you will be in the digging screen, And use the hammer or pick axe. When you dig you will see 4 layers:
  • A rock
  • A dark brown spot
  • A lighter brown spot
  • the wall (which is un brake-able)

  • when you see a light brown layer with a crack in it, look carefully through that crack. If it has a white spot ignore it (wall). If the spot has a different color click the spot because something is hidden there.

    Easter Egg - Ghost Gang
You must have the HM Cut, as well as the Forest Badge, to find this easter egg. Use Cut on the trees near the exit to Eterna Forest to discover a path to a mysterious mansion. There are two rooms that hold spooks: One is the dining room downstairs and the other is upstairs on the far right, but you can only see it from the adjacent room to the left.

If you have a GBA game in slot 2 of the DS or the National Dex, you can get a Haunter and Gengar in the room with the "eyed portrait" that seems to look at you if you back away from it, or a Rotom in the 2nd floor TV (respectively).

Hint - Lots of Masterballs (or Other Items)
After you obtain the National Dex in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, you can go to Pal Park, where you migrate Pokemon from a Gameboy game to your DS cartridge. So, clone a million masterballs or other items on Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, or Emerald, give them to pokemon, migrate the pokemon, and viola, millions of that item on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

Hint - Eevee At the Pokemon Mansion
First you must get your national pokedex by spotting every pokemon in the Sinnoh region. Afterwards head to Pro.Rowan and the rest will be simple from there.

After getting your national pokedex, head to the pokemon mansion. Instead of going in the trophy garden, talk to the owner of the the trophy garden. He will ask you two questions and you must answer yes to both questions. Every morning when you talk to him he will ask you the same two questions, and after you answer his questions, he will tell you what pokemon he saw in his garden that morning. Some of the pokemon are: marill, meowth, cleffairy, and eevee.

Keep going to him everyday until he say that he saw some Eevees in his garden this morning. When he does, then you go in the garden and you will find your eevee. It may take you a minute to find the first one but you will be able to catch a few.

    Hint - Legendary Pokemon Dialga
You will need Surf, Rock smash, and Rock climb. I suggest you keep a master ball for Dialga (you can clone it using the GBA Pokemon clone trick).

Go to Mt. Coronet, left from Hearthome city. Follow a path until you find a way out of the cave. But don't go threw it, go up and you will find a place where you can use Surf, go past it and go on land. Use rock climb on the wall, go up the stairs and follow the path to a door that leads to more stairs. Go until find a door that leads outside and move forward until you see a place where you can use rock climb just once.

Go left through the grass and go in the cave. Follow the path and you will be at spear pillar. Don't go up by the three people because they are the Team Galactics' generals. Save your game. When you beat them you will have a chance to catch Dialga.

    Hint - Spiritomb
To get Spiritomb, go to Solaceon Town and go downwards until you see a well-type looking thing. That is the Hallowed Tower, when you press 'A' on it, it will say:

    It's the Hallowed Tower.
It appears to have been built
    many years ago.

If it asks you to put in an 'Odd Keystone,' say yes. If you already have done so, go down underground with a friend, and have him/her go into his/her secret base and keep coming out and greet you.

Do this 32 times, go back up to the Hallowed Tower, and you will find Spiritomb. It is level 25, and you DO NOT have to see Spiritomb from the Champion Cynthia, I know becuase I did it. You can also do this with Odd Keystones more than once if your friends give you more. I only know of 2. The one by Hearthome City, there's a Karate guy to the left, beat him and talk to him, and the one below.

Already sold your Odd Keystone? No worries, there's another one. Fly to TwinLeaf Town, go down to the water, surf until you get to the middle, then go all the way left and press 'A' on the crack in between trees. If you're having trouble finding it, use your item radar PokeApp which is PokeApp #7.

Hint - New Evolutions of Pokemon
Yanma evolves into Yanmega. Build it to level 33 and let it learn Ancient Power, it will evolve.

Use a shiny stone on Togetic to evolve it into Togekiss.

Use a dawn stone on a female Snorunt to evolve it into the Ice/Ghost Pokemon known as Froslass.

Level up Nosepass at Mount Coronet to evolve it into Probepass. Do the same with Magneton.

Level up Tangela to Level 33 and let it learn Ancient Power to evolve it into Tangagrowth.

Either catch a male and female Lickitung when in abundance or level one up until it learns rollout and it will evolve into Lickilicky.

    Hint - New Evolutions
There are new evolutions available only from a Pokemon trade or by Pokemon increasing a level while equipping an item:
    1. If you trade a Magmar while holding the Magmarizer (held by a wild Magby) it will evolve.
    2. If you trade an Electabuzz with the Thunderizer (held by a wild Elekid) it will evolve.
    3. If you trade a Rhydon holding Protector it will evolve into Rhyperior.
    4. if you trade Porygon 2 while holding the Dubious Disc it will evolve into Porygon 3.
    5. If you trade a Dusclops while it holds a Reper cloth it will evolve.
    6. If you level up Sneasle holding the Razor Claw at night it will evolve into Weavile.
    7. If you level up a Gligar while holding the Razor Fang it will evolve into Gliscor.
Also there are four pokemon from the very original if you played it that evolve without hold items through trade (machoke=machamp, kadabra=alakazam, haunter=gengar, gravler=golem)

    Hint - Drifloon
Go to the valley Windworks afterwards on an in-game Friday. Drifloon will pop in and out when you search for on in the grass. Try to use a quick-ball to capture it since it will run away at the first chance it gets. You can also set your DS' internal clock to a Friday and re-attempt a failed capture.

You do not have to beat the Elite Four and have all badges; you just have to beat the guy with the planet name, and rescue the guy whom his daughter comments "You smell bad" near the Valley Windworks.

You have to catch it on Friday, but Drifloon does not run away. It is like a legendary, you can see its 3D picture and you just have to press the A button in front of it.

It also will be there EVERY Friday, so if you fail, there are tons of more chances to get it.

Hint - Earn Seals Other Than Sunnyshore
First, go to Solceon town. Near the exit at the top on your right there is a hidden opening; go inside!

There will be 4 ledges within; jump down the fourth one and you'll enter another ruin.

There is a kid in that ruin. Find him and talk to him so he will leave.

Go forth and catch all the Unown. They only know hidden power, so they can't do much damage to your Pokemon.

Go back to Solcean town and locate the same ruins. Jump down the third ledge (not the fourth one) instead to find a house.

The kid from the ruins will be there and if you speak to him after capturing all the Unowns, you get a Seals.
